Privacy
There is very little of it to collect, which is the point.
What is collected
Your wallet's public identity key, which is what you are here. Your chosen username, if you set one. Your avatar, if you upload one.
That is the whole of it. There is no account, no email address, no password, and no analytics or advertising identifier.
Where it is kept
Your key, username, handle and avatar address are held in cookies in your own browser. They are sent back to the server so it knows who is speaking, and they are not sold, shared or combined with anything.
Avatars are stored with Vercel. Voice and recordings are carried and stored by Cloudflare RealtimeKit. Both are processors acting on instruction.
Handles and the ecosystem you name
Claiming a BRC-169 handle asks that ecosystem's registry who the handle belongs to. The request is made by this service's server rather than by your browser, so the registry sees the handle being asked about and this service's address — not yours, and nothing about which stations you are in.
The ecosystem is whichever domain you name, including one this service has never heard of. It is a third party, not a processor acting on instruction, and what it logs is governed by its own terms and not by these.
The request is repeated each time you connect, because that is the only way to notice a handle that has been revoked or moved to another wallet.
Audio
Live audio passes through Cloudflare's network to reach the other people in the room. It is not stored by this service unless a host is recording, which the room shows the whole time it is happening.
It can be captured by any participant using their own device, which this service cannot detect or prevent. What you say out loud in a room with strangers should be treated as permanent.
Recordings are kept for up to thirty days and then stop being listed.
Your avatar
An uploaded image is resized and re-encoded by your own browser before it is sent. That is what removes the location, camera and timestamp data most photographs carry — what reaches us shares no bytes with the file you picked, and the original never leaves your device.
Getting rid of it
Disconnecting forgets your key. Removing your avatar deletes the stored file. Clearing this site's cookies removes the rest.
Anything you said in a recorded room is in that recording, which is a separate thing from your identity and expires on its own schedule.
